This ride is offered as a two day adventure based out of Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico.

MONEY: Bring credit card(s) or spending cash for meals, lodging and gasoline on the road. Bring enough money for three or more days worth of meals, lodging and gas. Plan to bring as much money as you would for any other adventure trip or vacation.
SUPPORT: The support personnel attending to the ride are backcountry first aid certified. They will carry cell phones at all times.
Examples of what to bring for repairs on the road: Tire puncture repair supplies, brake pads, chain repair parts, and other critical spares to have with you. You will be riding in some remote places. Bring or ride a motorcycle that is in good condition and properly set up for back country adventure riding, with appropriate guards and protective covers, as it may make the difference in whether you finish on your own or on the support truck. We recommend riding with another participant or in small groups at all times.
CAMPING: A number of free camping sites are available in the area USFS district. Information/map can be found here:

The campgrounds that are located up the Hondo Canyon coming toward the ski valley, are: Lower Hondo, Cuchilla, Italianos, and Twining.

MOTORCYCLE RENTAL: Motorcycle rental is available through RPImoto. Contact: Roger@RPImoto.com. Rental fees will be $143 per day (+ tax) with your choice between a Suzuki DL650 or the Suzuki DR650. A $500 damage deposit in cash or on credit card is required and also needed for a security deposit in case of further damage.
