Additional Details:

Motorcycle License Required: Original and three copies of motorcycle endorsed licence, motorcycle registration, and title (or notarized letter of permission from owner/lien holder), proof of USA and Mexico insurance.

Passport Required: A passport is required for travel.

Border Crossings: The tour will cross the border between the USA and Mexico. Riders must be patient during this process, as it can take some time. You will be waiting in several lines to present your passport and other paperwork, which will be supplied with any rental motorcycles. A personal credit card is also required for bonding the motorcycle into Mexico.

Clothes: Temperatures range between 40 to 90 degrees F, and it is typically wet in the west and dry in the east. There will be a support vehicle with plenty of room for luggage, so bring the appropriate layers.

Motorcycle Bags: One waterproof bag with up to a 60 Liter capacity may be used on the bikes offered for this tour. Larger bags are not recommended. GIVI Monokey hard bags may be used on our rentals, or we can provide 36 Liter bags for additional fees.

Internet Access: This symbol following a description on the itinerary denotes the availability of internet access or a business center.

Money: Riders will need Mexican Pesos to buy things outside of the tour package, like meals, shopping and fuel. We suggest that riders change from $1,000 - $2,000 US to Mexican currency. This may be changed at a bank before the start of the tour or at the border. ATM machines are available along the route in most places. Visa and Mastercard both work, though Visa is more widespread. To avoid any charging complications, notify your credit card company or bank that you are going on an international trip.

Guides / Support: Two bilingual guides and a bike mechanic will accompany the tour. The guides are backcountry first aid certified. They will also be carrying cell phones and a satellite phone. The support vehicle will carry limited spare parts for repairs and gear if provided by each rider.
