Motorcycle License:

All riders must get an International Driving Permit with motorcycle endorsement. Make sure you get your motorcycle endorsement on it! To get an International Driving Permit, proceed to your nearest AAA.

Passport:

A passport will be needed. Make sure your passport is current and will not be expiring within six months of the tour date. If it is, it is best to renew it before going on this tour. No visa is required for up to three months of travel in Japan for United States citizens.

Money:

Credit cards are not recommended. It is better to bring at least $1200-$1500 in cash, more if you would like to shop. Cash should be changed over before leaving on the tour or at the airport when you get there.

ATM's can be found in banks and post offices, but they are not readily available like the US. It is highly recommended to bring/get cash ahead of time.

Four guides will accompany the tour, two of them bilingual. The guides are backcountry first aid certified. They will also be carrying cell phones and a satellite phone.
